Job summary

Nord Anglia International School Dublin is seeking a Music Teacher for a 1-year fixed-term contract. The role is full-time, Monday to Friday, reporting to the Head of Music.

You will deliver engaging music lessons, support curriculum and participate in school-wide arts and interdisciplinary projects within an international setting. Candidates should have a degree in music and recognised teaching qualification, with experience in international education.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Music or related subject.
• Recognised teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE, HDipEd, or equivalent).
• Enhanced Criminal Records Bureau Disclosure (or local equivalent) and visa compliance for Ireland.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and effective learning experiences in Music.
• Maintain high standards for student achievement and classroom conduct.
• Promote problem-solving, creativity and design thinking across all learner abilities.
• Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.
• Employ data-informed, differentiated teaching strategies to meet diverse learners.
• Integrate ICT tools to support digital learning in music.
• Act as Form Tutor and contribute to the IB curriculum; develop schemes of work and lesson plans.
• Develop short, medium and long-term plans aligned with curriculum objectives.
• Ensure rigorous assessment and timely feedback to students.
