Job summary

ILSC Education Group in Dublin, Ireland, seeks a passionate English Teacher to deliver engaging language lessons to a diverse international student body, aligned with CEFR guidelines and the school’s syllabus. Applicants should hold a primary degree and an ELT qualification such as CELTA or CertTESOL (ACELS recognised).

Prior ESL teaching in Ireland or abroad and comfort with blended learning are highly desirable.

Qualifications

• A primary degree (NFQ Level 7+) in any discipline.
• CELTA or Trinity CertTESOL or ACELS-recognised teaching qualification.
• Previous experience teaching English as a Foreign/Second Language in Ireland or abroad.
• Experience teaching a range of levels (beginner to advanced).
• Desirable: DELTA, Trinity DipTESOL or relevant postgraduate degree.
• Desirable: IELTS/ Cambridge/ TOEFL exam prep experience.
• Desirable: Experience with digital learning tools, blended or online teaching.
• Desirable: Experience in multicultural classrooms.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging English language lessons in line with the syllabus and CEFR guidelines.
• Prepare lesson notes and materials at least one day in advance; maintain daily lesson plans.
• Provide timely feedback on student progress and support progression.
• Mark attendance and complete assessments within the required timeframe.
• Participate in observations, meetings, and professional development activities.
• Uphold ILSC Dublin policies and maintain a respectful learning environment.
