Job summary

HERO Recruitment is seeking an experienced Injection Moulding Technician in Galway for an evening shift. The role focuses on repair and maintenance of injection mould tooling and managing the tool room, including spares and tooling support.

You will read engineering drawings, work to precise specifications, order spare parts, and collaborate with colleagues to meet production targets while upholding health and safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in the manufacture, repair and maintenance of injection mould tooling.
• Proficient with hand tools and measuring equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain injection mould tooling to the required standards.
• Repair and maintain hot runner to the required standards.
• Work to detailed engineering drawings and specifications.
• Manage and order spare parts.
• Work as part of a team to achieve production targets and quality standards.
• Identify areas for improvement and make suggestions for process and tooling improvements.
• Adhere to health and safety policies and procedures at all times.
• Ensure that all work is carried out to the highest standards of quality and within the required timeframes.
