Job summary

Arup is offering a work placement in Asset Management (Infrastructure) for students currently studying relevant Bachelor’s or postgraduate programs. You will support turning technical recommendations into transportation plans and project deliverables while developing design solutions with technology and enhancing communication through reports and visuals.

You will attend meetings, participate with the team, and undertake analytical research to present concepts and design ideas.

Qualifications

• Experience producing technical presentations and reports.
• History of academic research, technical presentations and technical report writing.
• Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, Microsoft Visio, PowerPoint, Project or analysis packages (e.g. SPSS).
• Knowledge of transport technology, e.g. traffic signal design.
• Evidence of teamwork and leadership in academic or extracurricular activities.
• Ability to prioritise effectively and deliver to deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Support turning technical recommendations into transportation plans and project deliverables.
• Develop design solutions using creative applications of technology.
• Develop communication skills, including report writing and visual representations.
• Attend and participate in meetings; listen and ask questions.
• Be involved in discussions with team members to gain knowledge and experience.
• Undertake analytical research to develop, document and present concepts and design ideas.
• Review project documentation to assist with reports, presentations, drawings and sketches.
