Job summary

Hewlett Packard Enterprise in Galway, Ireland, is seeking an Information Developer III to join our hybrid team. You will create and maintain installation, deployment and procedural documentation for our private cloud and infrastructure solutions, translating complex concepts into clear content.

Reporting to Mary Gwynne, you will collaborate with engineers and services teams, use AI-enabled tools to improve quality, and manage multiple documentation projects while upholding high standards.

Qualifications

  • Experience as Technical Writer or Information Developer.
  • Strong ability to produce procedural, installation and deployment documentation.
  • Experience writing for technically oriented audiences.
  • Ability to quickly understand technical products, services and infrastructure solutions.
  • Excellent written communication with attention to detail.
  • Experience collaborating with engineers, architects and SMEs.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Comfortable working in a collaborative team.

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain installation, deployment and procedural documentation for HPE Services teams.
  • Produce clear, accurate and user-focused technical content.
  • Develop deployment guides for private cloud and infrastructure solutions.
  • Collaborate with engineers, architects, services teams and SMEs to gather and validate information.
  • Translate complex technical concepts into easy-to-understand documentation.
  • Use AI-enabled tools to improve documentation quality and efficiency.
  • Support continuous improvement of documentation standards and workflows.

Location: Galway, Ireland

Working Pattern: Hybrid (2 days per week in the Galway office)

Shape the Future of Technical Documentation At HPE, we’re transforming how technical information is created, delivered and consumed. We’re looking for an Information Developer III to join our established team of technical writers in Galway and help create the documentation that enables successful deployment of cutting-edge private cloud and infrastructure solutions. This is an exciting opportunity for an early to mid-career Technical Writer who enjoys translating complex technical concepts into clear, structured and user-friendly content. You’ll work closely with technical teams across the business while gaining exposure to AI-enabled documentation practices, private cloud technologies and enterprise infrastructure solutions.

What You’ll Do
  • Create and maintain installation, deployment and procedural documentation for HPE Services teams.
  • Produce clear, accurate and user-focused technical content.
  • Develop deployment guides supporting private cloud and infrastructure solutions within customer data centres.
  • Collaborate with engineers, architects, services teams and technical stakeholders to gather and validate information.
  • Translate complex technical concepts into easy-to-understand documentation.
  • Use AI-enabled tools and technologies to improve documentation quality, efficiency and consistency.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives across documentation standards, processes and workflows.
  • Manage multiple documentation projects while maintaining high quality standards.
  • Contribute to the development of modern content creation practices and documentation strategies.
What We’re Looking For
Essential Experience
  • Experience as a Technical Writer, Information Developer or related documentation professional.
  • Strong experience creating procedural, installation and deployment documentation.
  • Experience producing content for technical audiences.
  • Ability to quickly understand technical products, services and infrastructure solutions.
  • Excellent written communication skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Experience working with technical stakeholders and subject matter experts.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
  • Comfortable working within a collaborative team environment.
Technical Knowledge
  • Experience with some or all of the following would be beneficial: Tridion Docs.
  • Oxygen XML.
  • Markdown.
  • Structured authoring and content management tools.
  • XML, HTML or related technologies.
  • Private cloud or infrastructure technologies.
  • VMware or virtualisation platforms.
  • AI-assisted documentation and content creation tools.
