Job summary

OCL Laundry Services Ltd in Ballinrobe, County Mayo, is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join a large, modern industrial laundry. You will maintain high-volume processing equipment, work with Production and Shift Management, and support plant availability and safety.

The role requires strong electrical and mechanical maintenance experience, fault-finding skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Recognised electrical qualification (City & Guilds Level 3 or NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
• 3+ years’ experience in electrical and mechanical maintenance in a large industrial/manufacturing environment.
• Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Good mechanical maintenance experience across industrial machinery.
• Working knowledge of processing systems including boiler house, PLCs, sensors, control systems and remote I/O.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned, preventative and reactive maintenance across industrial laundry plant/equipment.
• Diagnose and rectify electrical, mechanical and control faults safely.
• Prioritise maintenance with Production/Shift Management to minimise downtime.
• Identify opportunities for preventative maintenance and continuous improvement.
• Maintain records of maintenance activities, faults and repairs.
• Assist with installation, commissioning and integration of new machinery and upgrades.
• Support productivity, reliability and efficiency improvements.
