Job summary

Osborne Recruitment is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician for a busy Naas-based manufacturing site. The role covers electrical and mechanical maintenance, fault-finding, and continuous improvement to keep equipment running safely and efficiently.

The ideal candidate will hold an engineering qualification or recognised apprenticeship, with at least 3 years in a maintenance role within manufacturing. PLC-controlled equipment experience and strong safety awareness are essential.

Qualifications

• Engineering qualification or recognised apprenticeship as Electrician, Fitter or Maintenance Technician.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in a maintenance role.
• Experience in manufacturing/industrial environments.
• Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with PLC-controlled equipment and machine diagnostics.
• Health & Safety and quality awareness.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day maintenance support across the production facility.
• Carry out planned preventative and reactive maintenance on plant and equipment.
• Complete electrical and mechanical fault-finding and repairs on PLC-controlled machinery.
• Carry out wiring, installation and commissioning of plant and equipment.
• Troubleshoot machinery using PLC programmes, wiring diagrams and control systems.
• Maximise machinery uptime and minimise production downtime.
• Manage on-site contractors, including inductions and permit requirements.
• Complete maintenance work orders safely, accurately and within required timeframes.
• Support continuous improvement and equipment optimisation projects.
• Assist with risk assessments for new and existing machinery.
