Job summary

Sigmar Recruitment seeks an Industrial Electrician for full-time work based in Cork, Ireland. You will install cable tray, trunking, conduit and cabling across industrial sites, and work with Fieldbus systems, IO-Link, PLCs, and related control gear.

You will conduct thorough pre- and post-go-live testing, ensuring quality and reliability while operating in live production environments with strict safety standards.

Qualifications

• Must hold National Craft Certificate or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years’ post qualification experience.
• Experience with LV and three-phase systems.
• Reading and redlining electrical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Installing cable tray systems, trunking, conduit and cabling on industrial sites.
• Working with Fieldbus, IO-Link, PLCs, RIOs and VSDs.
• Installing LV switchgear, lighting, fire alarms, CCTV and access control.
• Performing pre- and post-go-live testing for quality and reliability.
• Operating in live production environments with high safety standards.

About Your New Job

As an Industrial Electrician,youwill be:

• Installing cable tray systems, trunking, conduit, and cabling across industrial sites.
• Working with advanced Fieldbus systems, IO-Link, PLCs, RIOs, VSDs, and pneumatics.
• Installing LV switchgear, lighting, fire alarms, CCTV, and access control systems.
• Conducting thorough pre- and post-go-live testing to ensure quality and reliability.
• Operating within live production environments, ensuring minimal disruption and high safety standards.

What Skills You Need

• Fully qualified electrician (National Craft Certificate or equivalent) with a minimum 5 years’ post-qualification experience.
• Strong background in single/three-phase and low-voltage systems.
• Confident in cable terminations, reading/redlining electrical drawings.
• Experience in live production plant environments desirable.

• Union rates (€27.06-€28.48 per hour DOE) plus expenses.
