Job summary

Veolia Ireland is seeking an Industrial Contracts Manager to act as a key liaison between Veolia Ireland and clients, overseeing water and wastewater contracts across multiple sites. You will support the Head of Water and Plant Managers, assist with estimating and variations, and lead cross-functional teams. Strong leadership and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in engineering at Level 7/8 or higher.
• Experience in water/waste/water industry.
• Supervisory/management experience.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, fluent English.

Responsibilities

• Support with estimating, pricing and quantity surveying on contract variations.

This role is critical in supporting contract management activities, driving operational efficiencies, and maintaining strong client relationships across multiple operational sites. The position requires a strategic approach to contract execution while ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and environmental standards.Duties of the Role include;Support the Head of Water/National General Manager and Plant Managers with existing Operate & Maintain (O&M) contracts/metering contracts/other contracts held within the Water O&M business unit.Assist with estimating, pricing and quantity surveying on contract variationsSupport the project teams on process improvements, client specific projects etc.Evaluate contractor performance after project completionWork with support services to assist with the rollout of company procedures and initiativesSupport operational sites and teams with implementation of quality and safety standards systems (VMR, LRQA etc.)Ensure compliance with all Health and Safety policies and proceduresManage and develop direct reports, including setting objectives, conducting performance reviews, and providing coaching and mentoring to support career developmentLead and coordinate cross-functional teams across operational sites, providing guidance and direction to indirect reports to ensure alignment with company objectives and contract deliverablesFoster a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration among team members, promoting knowledge sharing and best practices across the organizationEnsure team compliance with all Health and Safety policies, quality standards (VMR, LRQA), and company procedures through effective communication and supervisionServe as a primary point of contact for clients on contract related mattersIn conjunction with Plant Managers or team leads, prepare comprehensive monthly client reportsSupport the preparation and accuracy of client billing processesMaintain regular communication with clients to ensure satisfaction and address any concernsPresent operational updates and performance metrics to clients during review meetingsNegotiate contract variations and commercial positions that benefit both the company and clientRequired skills for this role;Degree qualification Level 7 /8 in engineering or equivalent experienceExperience in water/waste/water industrySupervisory/management experienceStrong personal skills and communication skills, fluent EnglishPlease note:If you are an EU/EEA national, you will be asked to show proof of right to work in Ireland.If you are a non-EU/EEA national , you will require current and valid permission to work and reside in the Republic of Ireland.Information on legislation and guides to the procedures in relation to obtaining greencard permits ,work permits, spousal/dependant permits is available on the Department of Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation website.
