Job summary

ifac in Dublin is seeking Trainee Accountants to join our team, offering direct client exposure and mentorship from experienced professionals across accounting, tax, and advisory services. The programme includes onboarding with Friel Stafford and Kilkenny Head Office, extensive training, mentor support, and paid study leave, with a long-term path in agribusiness and SME sectors.

Qualifications

• Graduate with a third-level qualification in accountancy, finance, or a business-related discipline.
• Willingness to complete a professional qualification.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparing financial documents and reports.
• Support the team with investigations, valuations and filings.
• Work with spreadsheets and accounting software to analyse financial information.
• Correspondence with clients, banks, revenue commissioners, etc.
• Maintain client confidentiality of information and comply with data regulations.

With more than 30 locations ifac has recently acquired leading Dublin firms Friel Stafford located in Fitzwilliam Place Dublin 2, where our Trainee Accountants get to live and work where they feel at home, all while achieving their professional qualification in a Top Ten firm.

The Role

Our Trainee Accountant programme provides an excellent opportunity to build a rewarding career with a Top Ten Accountancy Firm. Our trainees will gain valuable, hands-on experience while working alongside experienced professionals, including Accountants, Tax Advisors, Auditors, Consultants, and Financial Planners.

With direct client exposure and continuous support from our expert teams, our Trainee Accountants develop quickly in a dynamic environment.

This role will suit a graduate interested in pursuing a career in accountancy and related disciplines.

Key Responsibilities

The ifac Graduate Programme

What you can expect on the Programme? You will begin your journey with ifac and Friel Stafford with an extensive onboarding programme at our Kilkenny Head Office in July 2027. From day one, you will receive excellent training and support from a diverse team of experts while you learn how to prepare and review accounts and tax computations, provide client support, and help business owners manage risk and maximise opportunities. Working across a range of industries with a focus on the food and agribusiness sectors, you will be involved in full accounting, tax and consulting assignments, including planning meetings, and client visits.
