Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking an ICT Design Engineer to join a global team developing connectivity solutions for data center infrastructure. You will work with Architects, Structural, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, and Control Engineers to design scalable fiber optic and copper plant systems and review submittals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Experience in industrial or commercial engineering in mission-critical facilities (data centers, power generation, oil and gas).
• Experience researching new designs, technologies, and construction methods for data center equipment and facilities.
• Experience carrying design concepts through exploration, development, and deployment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure timely delivery of scalable ICT pathway, fiber/copper plant designs and specifications.
• Review and approve ICT pathway, cable and equipment submittals.
• Identify and respond to risks and high-priority issues rapidly and effectively.
• Support new technology and design activities to improve infrastructure quality, reduce cost and installation time.
• Travel 20+% to review projects and coordinate with onsite personnel and contractors at AWS Data Centers.
• Contribute creative, out-of-the-box solutions.
