Job summary

Egis is seeking a Hydrogeologist to lead groundwater monitoring and environmental assessments in Ireland. You will evaluate groundwater quality/quantity data, conduct impact assessments, and ensure compliance with environmental standards across projects in Dublin, Cork, Limerick, and Castlebar.

Qualifications

• Relevant professional experience in hydrology / hydrogeology.
• Minimum Level 8 BSc/MSc in Hydrogeology, Geology, Environmental Science, or a related discipline.
• Chartered or working towards Chartership with relevant society.

Responsibilities

• Conduct hydrological and hydrogeological impact assessments.
• Collect, analyse and interpret groundwater quality and quantity data.
• Develop, implement and manage groundwater monitoring programmes.
• Prepare Water Framework Directive (WFD) and groundwater risk assessments.
• Contribute to EIARs and regulatory submissions.
• Undertake site visits, field investigations and technical assessments.
• Prepare factual and interpretative desk studies and site investigation reports.
• Interpret hydrogeological data and prepare high-quality technical reports.
• Support the design, implementation and interpretation of site investigations.
• Collaborate with clients, regulators and multidisciplinary project teams.
• Assist with project scoping, planning, programming and delivery.
• Support tender opportunities and preparation of fee proposals.
