Job summary

SMBC Group in Tralee is seeking a Senior Full Stack .NET Developer to join our Development team. The role covers the full tech stack, from web interfaces to backend services, REST APIs and database integrations.

You will work with business users, analysts and architects to deliver scalable, reliable solutions in a global financial services environment. The role reports to Senior Applications Developer - BPM and requires strong C#/.NET and SQL Server/Oracle experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems or a related discipline.
• 5+ years of full stack software development experience.
• Strong C#/.NET development and object-oriented programming experience.
• Experience developing web applications, user interfaces, RESTful APIs and backend services.
• Strong Oracle and/or Microsoft SQL Server database experience.
• Advanced SQL skills, including complex joins, stored procedures, query optimisation and performance tuning.
• Strong knowledge of relational database concepts, data modelling and database design.
• Experience with application integrations, enterprise systems and application architecture.
• Experience supporting, debugging and troubleshooting production applications.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and root cause analysis skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test and support full stack applications using C#/.NET technologies.
• Develop web applications, user interfaces, RESTful APIs, backend services and workflow solutions.
• Design and maintain complex SQL queries, stored procedures, views and database objects.
• Gather and analyse business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Troubleshoot application, integration and database issues.
• Provide production support, root cause analysis, system maintenance and performance tuning.
• Collaborate with business users, analysts, architects and development teams to deliver scalable and reliable solutions.
• Participate in application design, code reviews, testing, deployment and continuous improvement.
• Produce and maintain technical documentation.
