Job summary

AECOM Ireland Water Team is seeking Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) Resident Engineers to support Uisce Éireann’s Capital Investment Plan across sites in the Republic of Ireland. You will ensure projects meet quality standards on major water infrastructure, wastewater treatment plants and pumping stations.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
• Experience supervising MEICA works on major infrastructure projects.
• Experience with water and wastewater facilities and upgrades.
• Strong knowledge of health & safety legislation and RAMS reviews.
• Familiarity with FIDIC contracts and contractor claims.
• Able to review design submissions and commissioning plans.
• Able to travel to site.

Responsibilities

• Specialise in mechanical and electrical elements of works.
• Lead delivery of site-based infrastructure projects for Uisce Éireann.
• Review contractor documentation and performance (MEICA design submissions, RAMS, QP, FDS).
• Supervise MEICA construction, perform safety reviews and audits.
• Monitor commissioning, FAT/SAT, system testing and performance guarantees.
• Administer commercial aspects (interim/final accounts, variations, KPI performance).
• Develop and maintain communication with project team, authorities, utilities, landowners and public.
