Job summary

Darwin Hawkinsu0093s client, a large Irish multinational, seeks a Financial Accountant for its Dundalk finance team. Hybrid work arrangements support a balance between office collaboration and flexible work patterns.

You will own monthly journals, balance sheet reconciliations and management accounts, while contributing to regulatory returns and statutory financial statements under FRS 102. This role offers broad financial exposure and opportunities for process improvements.

Qualifications

• Qualified Accountant (ACA or ACCA preferred).
• 5+ years' experience in a similar financial accounting role.
• Strong month-end reporting, balance sheet reconciliations and management accounts experience.
• Excellent Excel skills with the ability to analyse large volumes of financial data.
• Strong communication, organisational and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly journals, accruals and prepayments across multiple business units.
• Support the preparation of monthly management accounts, including variance analysis against budgets and prior-year performance.
• Take ownership of monthly and quarterly balance sheet reconciliations and maintain the fixed asset register.
• Prepare quarterly regulatory returns and liaise with relevant authorities.
• Support the preparation of statutory financial statements under FRS 102 and liaise with external auditors.
• Collaborate with internal departments to provide financial insights for commercial decision-making.
