Job summary

Morgan McKinley in Cork, Ireland, seeks a Senior IT Systems Administrator to be the technical owner of our client’s internal IT environment. You will own cloud infrastructure, identity management, zero-trust security, and the SaaS ecosystem, while mentoring a Help Desk Technician.

This role drives IT strategy, streamlines vendor costs, and builds a secure, scalable platform for growth with a high degree of autonomy.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in IT systems administration or infrastructure engineering.
• Experience with Entra ID (Azure AD), Intune MDM on Windows/macOS.
• Hands-on experience owning security controls, EDR tools (SentinelOne), and SOC 2/ISO audit readiness.

Responsibilities

• Architect, secure, and scale core systems and identity across Windows/macOS.
• Own identity management and device management.
• Lead vendor negotiations and optimize software spend.
• Mentor the Help Desk Technician and establish SLAs.
• Automate onboarding/offboarding and act as final escalation point.
