Job summary

Planet seeks a Cloud Operations Engineer with deep Microsoft Azure networking expertise to operate, secure and improve cloud and hybrid network services. You will own Azure connectivity, support ExpressRoute, VPNs, Private Link, and lead automation using Terraform within a regulated environment.

You will collaborate across security, platform engineering, and enterprise network teams to deliver reliable connectivity, maintain docs and runbooks, and support incident response for production

Qualifications

• Extensive hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure infrastructure and networking.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS/DHCP, NAT, VPNs and routing.
• Experience in network security controls and Azure Firewall, NSGs, and Private Link.
• Ability to troubleshoot end-to-end connectivity across cloud and on-premises.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain and improve Azure and hybrid cloud network services.
• Design and support hub-and-spoke, Virtual WAN architectures, VNet, subnets, peering.
• Manage security controls (NSGs, Firewall, DDoS protection) and private endpoints.
• Automate network deployments with Terraform and maintain IaC practices.
• Monitor health and performance with Azure Monitor, Network Watcher, logs.
