Job summary

Eli Lilly Cork Limited is offering a General Accounting internship in Little Island Cork. The role combines on-site work with remote tasks for a total of 8 months starting January 2027. It is ideal for students pursuing a BSc in Accounting or Finance and seeking practical exposure in VAT and capital asset processes.

The position emphasizes hybrid working arrangements, inclusion, and development opportunities within Lilly’s global finance team.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in 3rd level education and ready to pursue student placement as part of an undergraduate.
• Ability to effectively prioritize and complete key tasks.
• Ability to work in team environment & communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Assist Senior Analysts in the project creations automation process daily by monitoring the projects created to project requirements submitted and liaising with the teams to ensure appropriately created.
• Assist Senior Analysts in the Capitalization of Assets process by reviewing Capitalization Forms received to ensure they are in line with company policies and capitalized for the company closing calendar.
• Assist Senior Analysts in preparing the periodic VAT, Intrastat, EC Sales List & SAFT reports for review by local affiliates prior to final submission to various Zone 2/European tax authorities.
• Assist Senior Analysts in preparing, reviewing and approving VAT account reconciliations in accordance with relevant guidelines.
• Support regional General Accounting (GA) projects as required.
• Support the overall GA team by demonstrating flexibility in providing cover for team members, assisting with operational controls and monthly tasks.
