Job summary

Quinn Downes Group in Ireland is seeking an experienced HVAC Engineer to join our maintenance team. You will install, maintain, and repair HVAC, heating, and boiler systems across commercial and industrial sites, with emphasis on safety and workmanship.

You should hold a recognized apprenticeship in plumbing, electrical, or refrigeration & air conditioning, with an RGI qualification highly desirable. A valid full Irish driving license is essential.

Qualifications

• Recognized apprenticeship in plumbing, electrical or refrigeration/AC.
• RGI qualification is highly desirable.
• Proven experience with boilers, heating systems and HVAC equipment.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain and repair HVAC, heating and boiler systems.
• Diagnose faults and deliver effective solutions on site.
• Carry out reactive and planned preventative maintenance (PPM).
• Service gas-fired and oil-fired heating systems.
• Complete accurate service reports and maintenance records.
• Work safely and professionally across client sites.
• Deliver high standards of customer service and workmanship.
• Work independently or as part of a team.

Due to continued growth, we are seeking experienced HVAC Engineers to join our maintenance team.

The Role

As a HVAC Engineer, you will be responsible for:

Installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC, heating, and boiler systems.

Diagnosing faults and delivering effective solutions across commercial and industrial sites.

Carrying out reactive and planned preventative maintenance (PPM).

Servicing and maintaining gas-fired and oil-fired heating systems.

Completing service reports and maintenance records accurately.

Working safely and professionally across client sites.

Delivering a high standard of customer service and workmanship.

What We're Looking For:

The successful candidate will have:

A recognized apprenticeship qualification in one of the following:

• Plumbing
• Electrical
• Refrigeration & Air Conditioning

RGI qualification (Registered Gas Installer) is highly desirable.

Proven experience working on boilers, heating systems, and HVAC equipment.

Commercial and/or industrial HVAC maintenance experience.

A valid full Irish driver's license.

Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.

A professional, reliable, and customer-focused approach.

The ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Desirable Qualifications

F-Gas certification.

Experience with BMS controls and building services systems.

Experience in emergency call‑out and reactive maintenance environments.
