Job summary

AEP Global is seeking a Commissioning Manager to lead the testing, energisation and handover of HV/MV systems across UK and Europe. You will work with clients, EPCs and engineering teams to ensure safe, efficient delivery.

The role covers planning switching, overseeing vendors, and ensuring adherence to electrical safety standards on complex substations and grid infrastructure. Rotational work and travel are available.

Qualifications

• HV/MV commissioning experience on large infrastructure projects.
• Experience leading commissioning teams and coordinating with EPCs.
• Strong knowledge of electrical safety rules and permit-to-work processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead HV/MV commissioning activities on major projects
• Manage commissioning engineers, vendors and subcontractors
• Plan switching, testing and energisation activities
• Coordinate protection, control, transformer and switchgear commissioning
• Review commissioning procedures and test packs
• Chair commissioning meetings and manage client relations
• Ensure compliance with safety rules and LOTO/Permit-to-Work
• Deliver projects on programme and to high quality standards
• Collaborate with clients, EPCs, OEMs and engineering teams
