Job description

Insight HR is one of Ireland’s leading providers of HR services and solutions. For more than two decades, we have supported organisations across Ireland and the UK with complex, sensitive and strategically important people matters.

Our consultants combine strong technical expertise with commercial awareness and sound judgement. We give clients clear, practical advice that reflects their organisation, objectives and risk environment.

The role

We are looking for an experienced Human Resources Consultant to join our team in a full time remote role.

Ideally, you will have worked in an HR consultancy or professional services environment and understand what effective client delivery involves: assessing an organisation’s needs, managing multiple engagements, providing confident advice and building trusted relationships.

You will advise senior leaders and HR teams on employee relations, HR strategy, policies and organisational change. The work is varied and often complex, requiring you to turn difficult HR issues into clear, practical courses of action.

You will have considerable autonomy while collaborating with the wider Insight HR team to maintain consistently high standards of client service.

What you will do

  • Manage a varied portfolio of client engagements from initial scoping through to delivery.
  • Advise senior leaders and HR teams on complex employee relations and organisational matters.
  • Support performance, disciplinary, grievance and conflict-resolution processes.
  • Review and develop contracts, policies, handbooks and other HR documentation.
  • Interpret employment legislation and provide practical, commercially aware advice.
  • Support restructures, organisational change and other sensitive workplace processes.
  • Deliver HR training and workshops for managers and HR teams.
  • Conduct HR audits and risk assessments and develop practical improvement plans.
  • Build strong, long-term client relationships while collaborating closely with the Insight HR team.

What you will bring

  • Experience in HR consultancy, professional services or another client-facing HR advisory environment is strongly preferred.
  • A proven ability to manage multiple clients, projects and competing deadlines.
  • Strong consulting skills, including scoping assignments, identifying key issues and developing practical recommendations.
  • The credibility and confidence to advise senior decision-makers on complex or sensitive matters.
  • Significant experience managing employee relations issues.
  • A strong understanding of Irish employment law and its practical application.
  • Excellent written communication, presentation and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Commercial awareness and an understanding that HR advice must reflect each client’s operating environment.
  • The ability to work independently in a remote role while contributing actively to a collaborative team.
  • A relevant professional qualification, such as CIPD membership or an equivalent qualification.

Experience in an additional area of HR—such as learning and development, compensation and benefits, diversity and inclusion, or organisational development—would be an advantage, but is not essential.

This is an opportunity to work on varied, challenging assignments across a broad client base. You will join an experienced consultancy where professional judgement, high quality advice and strong client relationships are valued.

If you are an experienced HR professional who enjoys consulting, solving complex problems and becoming a trusted adviser to clients, we would like to hear from you.
