Job summary

Ward & Burke Construction Ltd. is seeking a Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) professional to support pre-construction and tender activities.

You will develop PQQs and tender submissions across civil, structural and MEICA projects, ensuring alignment with policy and client expectations. The role requires 5+ years of relevant experience and a solid grasp of current HSE legislation, with opportunities for professional development and staff mentoring.

Qualifications

• Minimum third level Certificate qualification in Environmental, Health & Safety (HETAC Level 7 or Equivalent)
• Minimum 5 years relevant to the role
• Assist with development of PQQ and Tender Submissions regarding Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality for multi-disciplinary projects across Civil, Structural and MEICA elements
• Understand project documentation and tailor responses to each project per policy and client expectations
• Provide input to Construction/Technical Teams on project requirements/constraints
• Attend site visits for potential and current projects
• Review and develop existing processes/procedures to current legislation
• Assist with mentoring other staff
• Thorough knowledge of current environmental, health and safety legislation
• Assist with driving and developing Sustainability procedures and reporting
• Strong initiative and interpersonal/communication skills
• Excellent organisational and reporting/writing skills (MS Office/PowerPoint)

Responsibilities
