Housing Support Officers act as key workers to clients, alongside Health Care Assistants, delivering practical and emotional supports as part of their overall support plan. Based in Galway, the role operates on a 1-year fixed-term, part-time contract (35 hours per week on average) with a 4-week rolling roster including sleep-overs.

Qualifications

• Social Care Worker CORU registration OR a Level 7 Degree in a related field.
• Minimum 2 years' relevant care experience.
• Valid, full driving license.

Responsibilities

• Support clients with complex needs, delivering practical and emotional support as part of the service plan.
• Maintain compliance with policies and mandatory training; participate in inspections and safety routines.
• Lead shifts effectively, log interventions accurately, and communicate clearly with the team.
• Demonstrate compassion and a trauma-informed, harm-reduction approach.
