Job summary

Harvey's Point Hotel is seeking a part-time Housekeeping Assistant to join the Accommodation department. The role involves supervising guest rooms and public areas, ensuring the team has supplies, and contributing to inventory and quality checks.

Candidates should have about two years in a similar role, strong multitasking abilities, excellent attention to detail and communication skills. Weekday and weekend availability is required in a fast-paced luxury hotel setting.

Qualifications

• Previous experience ideally 2 years in a similar role.
• Ability to multi-task & prioritize
• Excellent attention to detail is required.
• Excellent communication skills to maintain good interdepartmental relations
• Available to work weekdays and weekends
• Must perform well in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

• Inspect and supervise guest rooms and public areas within the Hotel.
• Ensure Accommodation staff have the supplies necessary to perform their duties.
• Assist in the inventory process.
• Perform shift-related tasks such as room assignment, vacant rooms, discrepancy reports, key controls and turn down inspections.
• Manage defects with respect to Maintenance and Housekeeping concerns.
• Work in compliance with Health and Safety regulations including Fire, Emergency and Chemical regulations.
