Job summary

Harvey's Point Hotel in Donegal, Ireland, is seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor to join its award-winning Accommodation team. The role focuses on supervising guest rooms and public areas, ensuring staff have the supplies needed, and supporting inventory processes.

Ideal candidates will have 2 years of similar experience, excellent attention to detail, and strong communication skills to coordinate across departments. Weekday and weekend availability is required in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in housekeeping supervisory role preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and supervise guest rooms and public areas.
• Ensure housekeeping supplies are stocked for staff.
• Assist in inventory and turn-down tasks.
• Manage shift activities including room assignments and defect reporting.
• Oversee maintenance and housekeeping defects per safety regulations.
• Comply with Health and Safety, Fire, Emergency and Chemical regulations.

About Us

Harvey’s Point is a 4 star luxury Donegal hotel set in the idyllic surroundings of Lough Eske with the Bluestack mountains in the background.

The hotel has been at the forefront of the luxury hotel scene for over 30 years and comprises of 101 beautiful bedrooms offering breathtaking scenery at every turn.

Duties

• To inspect and supervise the guest rooms and public areas within the Hotel.
• To ensure that Accommodation staff have the supplies necessary to perform their duties.
• To assist in the inventory process.
• To perform shift-associated work such as room assignment, vacant rooms, discrepancy reports, key controls and turn down assignments and inspections.
• To manage any defects with respect to Maintenance and Housekeeping concerns.
• To work in compliance with all Health and Safety regulations, including Fire, Emergency and Chemical regulations.

• Previous experience ideally 2 years in a similar role
• Ability to multi-task & prioritize
• Excellent attention to detail is required
• Excellent communication skills to maintain good interdepartmental relations
• Available to work weekdays and weekends
• Must perform well in a fast-paced environment
