Job summary

Talbot Hotel Stillorgan is seeking an organised and passionate restaurant supervisor to join our team. In this full-time role you will assist in the smooth running of breakfast and lunch service and help maintain guest satisfaction in line with the Talbot Collection standards.

Reporting to the Deputy General Manager, you will supervise staff, manage service standards, handle guest queries, and support training to ensure consistent, high-quality service across shifts.

Responsibilities

• To ensure the smooth management of the breakfast and lunch service in conjunction with the Duty Manager and the supervisory team
• Dealing with situations and customer queries as they arise and to deal with customer complaints in an efficient and professional manner and to notify Management of these.
• Check and ensure adequate food & beverage stock levels on a regular basis
• Ensure all orders are taken accurately and serviced efficiently.
• To ensure all staff have sufficient knowledge of menus, beverages and service standards and to identify any training needs in relation to these areas, conducting training with staff when required
• To ensure a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness in all areas of the Restaurant and other related areas
• To ensure the correct set up in the Restaurant prior to service and to ensure the right atmosphere is created
• Supervise, control and monitor all staff on duty ensuring all duties are being fully carried out in accordance with Company Procedures
• To ensure a high standard of service and attention to detail within the hotel/your department
• To maximise staff productivity and encourage staff motivation by helping to create a positive working environment.

Overall Job Purpose

Reporting to the Deputy General Manager, you will assist in the smooth and efficient running of the breakfast and lunch service, to ensure profitable operation whilst complying with Company Standards and ensuring complete guest satisfaction at all times.
