Job summary

Bon Secours Hospital Tralee is seeking a Pharmacist for a 12-month fixed term, 21 hours per week, to join our busy Pharmacy Department. The role combines dispensary practice with IT-based medication management and ward-based clinical pharmacy activities, with opportunities in medication safety and quality improvement.

Applicants should be registered with the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland, or eligible for registration, and possess strong planning, communication and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• Registered, or eligible for registration, with the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland (PSI).
• Strong planning and organisational skills.
• Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Effective communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Contribute across dispensary activities and daily operations of the Pharmacy Department.
• Utilise hospital medication management IT systems in clinical and dispensary work.
• Provide ward-based clinical pharmacy services including medication review and patient counselling.
