Job summary

Comfort Keepers is hiring a Healthcare Assistant/Carer for Carrigrohane to support clients to live independently at home in their own community. You will provide personal care, meal prep, and medication prompts while documenting care records and coordinating with the local team.

Travel between client visits within the local area is required; full-time or part-time roles are available, with training and progression opportunities, a uniform, and 24/7 support from management.

Qualifications

• EU/EEA citizenship or unrestricted right to work in Ireland.
• QQI Level 5 in Healthcare Support is desirable; we will support you to complete it.
• Genuine motivation to help people live independently in their community.

Responsibilities

• Delivering personal care including support with mobility, dressing, and continence care with dignity and respect at all times.
• Assisting with meal preparation and light housekeeping.
• Providing medication prompts and maintaining accurate, timely records.
• Travel between client visits within your local area.
• Observing client wellbeing and escalating any concerns promptly to the local office management.
• Building a professional, trusted relationship with your client and their family.
• Maintain the highest standards of confidentiality and privacy at all times.
