Job summary

Comfort Keepers is seeking a Healthcare Assistant/Carer to support clients at home in Castleisland and surrounding areas. You will provide compassionate personal care, help with daily activities, and support independence in the community.

This role offers flexible hours (full- or part-time), mileage reimbursement when traveling between client visits, and access to training and progression opportunities within Comfort Keepers.

Qualifications

• Essential: 0 years experience required.
• Essential: No formal qualification required.
• Desirable: QQI Level 5 in Healthcare Support.
• Desirable: driving licence not required but beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Delivering personal care including support with mobility, dressing, and continence care with dignity and respect at all times.
• Assisting with meal preparation and light housekeeping.
• Providing medication prompts and maintaining accurate, timely records.
• Travel between client visits within your local area.
• Observing client wellbeing and escalating any concerns promptly to the local office management.
• Building a professional, trusted relationship with your client and their family.
• Maintain the highest standards of confidentiality and privacy at all times.
