Job summary

NHS Scotland is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to deliver acute medical care in patients’ homes, preventing hospital admissions when possible. The role requires autonomous practice, clinical decision-making capability, and skills such as venepuncture, ECG and cannulation.

A non-medical prescribing qualification is desirable; future training may be required. Band 5 on entry with potential progression to Band 6 after training success.

• Autonomy as a Nurse Practitioner delivering acute medical care at patients' homes

Responsibilities

• Provide high-standard safe and effective acute medical care in patients' homes
• Travel within the area to see patients in a timely manner
• Support autonomous practice with flexible shifts (08:00–22:00) and potential progression to Band 6
