Job summary

Wallace Myers International in Cork is expanding its installation team and is looking for two hands-on Fitters to install finished, engineered products into client facilities, many of them in pharma, food and beverage environments. Your week will be a mix of site-based installation work, supporting the engineers, and some workshop and logistics tasks back at base.

It suits a practical, tidy tradesperson who takes pride in a clean finish and presents well in front of clients.

Qualifications

• Mechanical or trades background with hands-on use of hand tools.
• Experience working to health and safety standards on site.
• Certifications: Safe Pass, Working at Height and Manual Handling; ATEX awareness an advantage.
• Full clean driving licence.
• Exposure to pharma, food and beverage, or manufacturing environments is an advantage.
• Presentable, reliable and capable of interacting with clients on site.

Responsibilities

• Install project equipment at client sites to a high standard, with engineers, and then independently after training.
• Keep engineers informed of site issues to resolve quickly.
• Follow client site rules, permits and safety requirements on every visit.
• Prepare, pack and deliver orders with accurate paperwork, and collect materials for upcoming projects.
• Fabricate and cut stainless steel components in the workshop to support live installs (full training provided).
• Carry out weekly checks on the company vans and keep them clean and roadworthy.
• Organise installation documentation for each project.

• Install project equipment at client sites to a consistently high standard, working alongside the engineering team and, after training, independently.
• Keep the engineers informed of any issues on site so they can be resolved quickly.
• Follow client site rules, permits and safety requirements on every visit.
• Prepare, pack and deliver orders with accurate paperwork, and collect materials for upcoming projects.
• Fabricate and cut stainless steel components in the workshop to support live installs (full training provided).
• Carry out weekly checks on the company vans and keep them clean and roadworthy.

Criteria
