National Vehicle Distribution is seeking a proactive Parts Manager to lead the parts team within a busy workshop environment. You will drive efficient parts operations, mentor staff, and ensure accurate parts identification using IT systems. The role requires strong organisation and a focus on service quality.

Responsibilities include stock control, budget oversight, collaboration with warehouse and logistics, and delivering continuous improvement across the department.

Qualifications

• Strong administration skills and attention to detail.
• Commercial vehicle experience; familiarity with car transporters preferred.
• Full clean driving licence – Class B.
• Ability to multi-task and meet strict deadlines.
• Experience managing a parts team within a wider department.
• Good problem solver.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and manage the parts team, including performance reviews, scheduling, and training.
• Provide efficient service to workshop staff by identifying parts using parts IT systems, and oversee the parts supply chain.
• Order, organise, and maintain stock; enforce inventory accuracy.
• Manage the parts department budget, track expenses, identify cost savings and revenue opportunities.
• Oversee department housekeeping, ensuring a safe, clean workspace.
• Coordinate handling of walk-in driver queries for ancillary items/PPE.
• Prepare ad-hoc reports on inventory, performance, and projects; drive continuous improvement.
• Coordinate with warehouse & logistics team to ensure material flow.
