Job summary

Hannon Logistics in Lusk, Republic of Ireland, is seeking an experienced HGV Mechanic to maintain and repair our fleet. This hands-on role focuses on inspections, diagnostics, servicing, and repairs to ensure safety and compliance.

You'll work Mon-Fri 8am-5pm with a focus on reducing downtime. Essential qualifications include NVQ/City & Guilds in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and proven HGV/LGV experience; welding or MOTs are desirable.

Qualifications

• NVQ/City & Guilds or equivalent in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance.
• Proven experience as an HGV/LGV mechanic.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Ability to diagnose faults using diagnostic tools and software.
• Knowledge of transport compliance and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Carry out inspections, diagnostics, servicing, and repairs on HGV vehicles.
• Maintain engines, brakes, transmissions, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
• Perform scheduled maintenance in line with manufacturer and company standards.
• Identify and rectify faults efficiently to minimise vehicle downtime.
