Job summary

National Vehicle Distribution is looking for a reliable mechanical maintenance technician to join our team in Ireland. The role involves planned and corrective maintenance on fleet vehicles, preparing vehicles for CVRT, diagnosing faults, and supporting apprenticeship training.

Applicants should have NVQ Level 3 or equivalent, HGV or plant maintenance experience, and a full driving license. Mercedes, Renault, and Scania experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must hold a formal qualification NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
• HGV or Plant mechanical maintenance experience.
• A Class one(C+E) licence would be preferable but not essential.
• Excellent communication and team working skills.
• Ability to use tools and diagnostic equipment safely and effectively.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Ideally have experience working on Mercedes, Renault & Scania.
• Ideally have experience working with hydraulic systems.
• Full driving license.

Responsibilities

• Carry out general mechanical planned and corrective maintenance.
• Prepare vehicles for CVRT.
• Carry out diagnostic fault identification and rectification repair.
• Assist with apprenticeship training.
