Job summary

Sam Dennigan & Co UC in Ireland is seeking a qualified HGV Mechanic for our Transport Department. This full-time role requires hands-on expertise in heavy vehicle repairs, routine maintenance and diagnostics to keep our fleet operating safely.

The ideal candidate has a National Craft Certificate, at least 3 years’ experience, strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work well both in a team and independently. Immediate start available for the right person.

• Qualified HGV mechanic with hands-on experience in heavy vehicle repairs.
• Knowledge of diagnostic equipment is essential.
• Experience with trailer maintenance and tail-lift repair preferred.

Job Description

Sam Dennigan & Co. uc, require Qualified HGV Mechanic for our Transport Department. This is a permanent, full time role.

The Ideal candidate will have:

• National Craft Certificate
• Minimum of 3 years' experience
• Competent in all areas of HGV repairs, inspections and maintenance
• Knowledge of diagnostic equipment essential
• Trailer maintenance and tail-lift repair.
• Ensuring that all repairs, inspections and servicing is to the highest standard.
• Take instructions from and liaise with the management over required repairs.
• Complete all paperwork required to the standards set by the company.
• Good communication skills, and fluency in both written and spoken English.
• Flexible and works well within a team and on their own.

Terms & Conditions:

• This is a full-time permanent dayshift position (40 Hours per week)
• Monday to Friday plus one half day Saturday per month
• No out of hours breakdown call outs.
