Job summary

National Vehicle Distribution is seeking a skilled mechanical technician to service and maintain our vehicle fleet in Ireland. The role covers planned and corrective maintenance, diagnostics, and assisting with apprenticeship training to develop the next generation of technicians.

Qualifications

• Must hold a formal NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
• HGV or Plant mechanical maintenance experience.
• A Class one(C+E) licence would be preferable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Carry out general mechanical planned and corrective maintenance.
• Prepare vehicles for MOT.
• Carry out diagnostic fault identification and rectification repair.
• Assist with apprenticeship training.

Pay And Benefits

• Salary depends on experience
• Full Time - 06:00 to 14:30 (13:30 Friday) and 09:30 to 18:00 (17:00 Friday) with requirement for Saturday morning (06:00 to 11:00) when required.

Requirements

• Must hold a formal qualification NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
• HGV or Plant mechanical maintenance experience.
• A Class one(C+E) licence would be preferable but not essential.
• Excellent communication and team working skills.
• Ability to use tools and diagnostic equipment safely and effectively.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Determined and resilient, with the drive to complete tasks.
• Ideally have experience working on Mercedes, Renault & Scania.
• Ideally have experience working with hydraulic systems.
• Full driving license.
