Key duties Service, maintenance and repair of HGVs and specialist waste vehicles. Fault diagnosis on engines, hydraulics, braking, electrical and ancillary systems. Preventative maintenance and preparation of vehicles for CVRT roadworthiness testing. Keeping accurate job records and reports. Working safely in line with workshop and site health and safety procedures. Maintaining tools and equipment and keeping a clean working area. Requirements Proven experience as an HGV or commercial vehicle mechanic. A relevant mechanical trade qualification. Strong diagnostic and fault finding ability. Knowledge of roadworthiness and compliance standards.
