Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals UK & Ireland is seeking a driver to operate commercial vehicles, ensuring safety checks, and secure loading/unloading of rental equipment. The role includes visiting customer sites, communicating with stakeholders, and upholding legal and company safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Operate commercial vehicles for transporting goods.
• Ensure vehicle safety and roadworthiness before journeys; load, unload, and secure loads.
• Load and unload rental and equipment including heavy plant.
• Visit customer locations and communicate with internal and external customers.
• Comply with legal and company safety requirements and working time regulations.

Job description

What will you be doing?

• Operating commercial vehicles for the transportation of goods
• Ensuring the vehicle is safe and roadworthy before commencing any journey, as well as the safe loading, unloading and security of the vehicle load
• Load and unload rental, electrical and powered access equipment including heavy plant
• Visiting customer locations, communicating with both internal and external customers
• Ensuring that the legal and company safety requirements, alongside the working time directive regulations are adhered to at all time
