BAKU GLS LIMITED in Ireland is seeking experienced HGV Class 1 (CE) drivers for domestic work based at Rosslare Harbour. You will safely operate articulated vehicles, perform daily checks, and manage delivery paperwork while complying with tachograph rules and company policies.

Applicants must hold a valid CE licence, Driver CPC, ADR certification, and be able to communicate in English. Overnight stays away from base may be required.

Job Description

Employer: Baku GLS Limited
Job Title: HGV Driver (Class 1 / Category CE)
Salary: €43,355.00 gross basic per annum (€145 per day). A Sunday allowance of 15% of the daily rate is paid for each Sunday worked. When staying overnight, subsistence and a daily meal allowance are paid in addition.
Working Hours: Full-time, 45 hours basic per week. Working days are variable and will include some weekend work. All working hours, driving periods, breaks and rest periods are scheduled and managed in accordance with the applicable European and Irish statutory drivers’ hours and working time rules, and our working practices fully comply with them.

Contract Type: Full-time, permanent (6 month probationary period)
Location of Employment: Kilrane Business Park, Rosslare Harbour, Co. Wexford, Y35 Y06K, Ireland. Domestic driving from this base.

Baku GLS Limited is a transport, logistics and warehousing company based at Rosslare Harbour, Co. Wexford. We are recruiting professional HGV Class 1 (CE) drivers for domestic work.

• Driving articulated vehicles safely and in compliance with road traffic law, the Drivers Hours Rules and tachograph requirements
• Conducting daily walk-around checks of the unit and trailer and reporting any defects
• Driving company vehicles from depot to loading and unloading points in accordance with delivery schedules
• Securing, loading and unloading of trailers (mainly curtain-side, with some box and refrigerated work) and ensuring loads are evenly distributed and safely secured
• Maintaining accurate tachograph records and completing delivery paperwork, including delivery notes and inspection reports
• Adhering to speed limits, driving with care and attention, and complying with all relevant driving laws, regulations and company policies
• Communicating any problems promptly to the transport office and dealing with customers in a courteous and professional manner
• Refuelling on a regular basis and practising good fuel-saving efficiencies when out on the road
• Abiding by drivers’ hours, tachograph and rest period requirements

• Minimum 2 years’ HGV driving experience
• Valid clean Category CE (Class 1 articulated) driving licence or equivalent
• Driver CPC compliance, with a valid and up to date Driver CPC card or Code 95 on the driving licence
• Valid digital tachograph card
• Clean driving record, with no endorsements, penalty points or accidents.
• Ability to communicate in English
• Valid passport
• Willingness to work flexibly on domestic work, including overnight stays away from base
• ADR CERTIFICATION IS AN ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENT. Candidates must hold a valid ADR certificate
• Once employed, relevant courses and professional training are funded by the employer
