Job summary

U Value Insulation is seeking a full-time Rigid HGV driver with Moffett experience to join our Dunshaughlin head office. You will operate on pre-planned routes, perform safety checks and ensure timely deliveries while maintaining accurate documentation.

The role requires a C1/C2 licence, DQC, and a positive, can-do attitude. Training for Moffett is available and multi-site deliveries knowledge is beneficial.

Qualifications

• Hold a current HGV licence (C1 or C2).
• Experience with Moffett considered an advantage; training can be provided.
• Driver Qualification Card (DQC) is required.
• Positive, can-do attitude and reliability.
• Willingness to support warehouse/yard or other duties as needed.
• Experience with multi-site deliveries and knowledge of products.

Responsibilities

• Drive HGV on pre-planned routes and ensure on-time deliveries.
• Perform routine vehicle checks and maintain roadworthiness.
• Adhere to legislation, health and safety guidelines and company policy.
• Complete tachograph and other essential documentation promptly.
• Build strong relationships with customers and handle loading/receiving records.
• Sign for delivery notes and prevent theft by staying vigilant.

Job Overview

U Value Insulation are now seeking to recruit a full-time Rigid HGV driver with Moffett experience. Our drivers play an integral part in the day to day running of our business. Therefore, it is very important that our customers get their deliveries on time, every time. Our drivers provide a timely, friendly and dependable delivery service to our customers.

The role will be based from our new Dunshaughlin Head office Office/Warehouse co Co.Meath.

Key responsibilities

• Driving our HGV truck on pre-planned routes:
• Ensure that the vehicle is road worthy by carrying out appropriate checks on a routine basis.
• Ensure that the vehicle is driven and maintained in an appropriate and courteous manner and in line with legislation, health and safety guidelines and company policy.
• Report any vehicle defects immediately to line/branch manager.
• Ensure that tachograph and other essential documents are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
• Build effective working relationships with customers.
• Responsible for ensuring all orders are correctly loaded onto the vehicle in line with health and safety procedures and proper documentation is completed prior to departure in order that goods can be tracked.
• Ensure that delivery notes have correct signatures as per company policy.
• Actively safeguard against theft of company goods or property by being security conscious at all times.
• To perform any other duties as may be deemed necessary or as may be required by the company.
