Job summary

U Value Insulation is recruiting a full-time Rigid HGV driver with Moffett experience for our Dunshaughlin head office. You will deliver on pre-planned routes, ensure vehicle roadworthiness, and maintain a high standard of customer service across deliveries.

The role requires a C1/C2 licence, DQC, and a positive, proactive attitude. Training is available for Moffett use, and responsibilities include warehouse support and multi-site deliveries. Attractive salary and company benefits listed.

Qualifications

• Hold a C1 or C2 valid licence.
• Experience with Moffett is an advantage; training can be provided.
• Driver Qualification Card (DQC) is required.
• Positive, can-do attitude.
• Willingness to support branch staff with warehouse/yard duties.
• Experience of multi-site deliveries.
• Knowledge of our products.

Responsibilities

• Drive the HGV truck on pre-planned routes.
• Carry out routine vehicle checks to ensure roadworthiness.
• Drive and maintain vehicle in a courteous, safe manner per guidelines.
• Report vehicle defects to line/branch manager.
• Complete tachograph and essential documents promptly.
• Build effective relationships with customers.
• Load orders onto vehicle with proper documentation before departure.
• Collect signatures on delivery notes as per policy.
• Be security‑minded to safeguard goods.
• Carry out other duties as required by the company.

Job Overview

U Value Insulation are now seeking to recruit a full-time Rigid HGV driver with Moffett experience. Our drivers play an integral part in the day to day running of our business. Therefore, it is very important that our customers get their deliveries on time, every time. Our drivers provide a timely, friendly and dependable delivery service to our customers.

The role will be based from our new Dunshaughlin Head office Office/Warehouse co Co.Meath.

• Driving our HGV truck on pre-planned routes:
• Ensure that the vehicle is road worthy by carrying out appropriate checks on a routine basis.
• Ensure that the vehicle is driven and maintained in an appropriate and courteous manner and in line with legislation, health and safety guidelines and company policy.
• Report any vehicle defects immediately to line/branch manager.
• Ensure that tachograph and other essential documents are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
• Build effective working relationships with customers.
• Responsible for ensuring all orders are correctly loaded onto the vehicle in line with health and safety procedures and proper documentation is completed prior to departure in order that goods can be tracked.
• Ensure that delivery notes have correct signatures as per company policy.
• Actively safeguard against theft of company goods or property by being security conscious at all times.
• To perform any other duties as may be deemed necessary or as may be required by the company.
