Job summary

Patrick Maher Limited in Thurles is seeking an experienced HGV mechanic to inspect, service and repair heavy plant machinery at the Ballingarry site. You will diagnose faults, perform preventive maintenance and ensure all work aligns with health and safety standards.

The role requires at least 2 years of relevant experience and a Level 4 qualification. Remuneration is based on a 39-hour week and Irish employment regulations apply.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience as HGV mechanic.
• Level 4 qualification (Leaving Certificate or equivalent).
• Experience in heavy plant servicing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, service and repair heavy plant machinery.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical faults.
• Carry out preventative maintenance and routine servicing.
• Replace and repair mechanical components.
• Carry out basic hydraulic and electrical fault diagnosis where required.
• Test machinery after repairs to ensure it is safe and operational.
• Maintain service and repair records.
• Follow workplace health and safety requirements.
