Job summary

Wygram Nursing Home Limited, part of the Virtue Integrated Elder Care Group, invites applications for Healthcare Assistants in County Wexford.

On-site roles, permanent full-time, 39 hours weekly, in a supportive home environment across Ireland.

Qualifications

• Minimum QQI Level 5 in Healthcare or equivalent.
• Proven track record as a high performing Healthcare worker.
• Elder care experience (2+ years).

Responsibilities

• Contribute to and enhance Resident activities and events.
• Supervise and assist with training and development of care assistants and appraise staff as requested.
• Ensure Residents are welcomed and feel secure on arrival in the unit.
• Deliver high-quality care to assigned Residents across activities of daily living.
• Support nursing staff in day-to-day allocation of work.

We are currently recruiting for Healthcare Assistants in County Wexford.

Permanent, full-time – 39 hours per week.

• Contribute to and enhance the quality of Resident activities and events.
• To supervise and assist with the training and development of care assistants and appraise staff as requested.
• By liaising with the Unit PIC and CNM ensure that adequate arrangements are made for the reception of new Residents, and that they are made to feel welcome and secure.
• Ensure highest quality care is delivered by Healthcare Assistants to assigned Residents.
• Participate in assigned and delegated tasks involving direct care and all activities of daily living under the direction and supervision of your line manager e.g., washing, toileting, dressing, undressing, dining, social activities, conversation, communication support and all other aspects of daily living
• Support the nursing staff in the organising of day-to-day allocation of work.

• QQI Level 5 Award – Healthcare or equivalent
• Excellent track record as a high performing Healthcare worker
• Elder care experience. (2 years + experience)
• Ability to motivate, supervise and inspire colleagues.
