Job summary

Irish HomeCare is seeking qualified Healthcare Assistants to join our team in Meath. You will provide comprehensive home care services in clients' own homes, following individualized care plans and supporting daily living activities.

The role requires a QQI Level 5 Health/Social Care qualification, prior care experience, and a full Irish driving licence with access to a vehicle. 39 hours per week across mornings, afternoons and evenings, including weekends.

Qualifications

• QQI Level 5 Health or Social Care or equivalent.
• Care or healthcare experience.
• Good understanding of geriatric health and mobility issues.
• Strong verbal communication skills and English proficiency.
• Full Irish driving licence and access to a vehicle.

Job Title: Healthcare Assistant

Location: Meath, County Meath

About the Role: Irish HomeCare is seeking qualified and experienced Healthcare Assistants to join our growing team in Meath. Successful candidates will be responsible for providing home care services to our clients in the local community.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide personal, non-medical care and assistance to clients in their own homes
• Assist with clients’ physical, nutritional and social needs as laid out in their Care Plan
• Provide personal care (e.g., washing, dressing, assistance with continence care), mobilising, assistance with feeding, meal preparation, light housekeeping, etc.

Requirements

• A major award in Health or Social Care or equivalent (Qualified to Level 5 on the QQI Framework)
• Previous care or healthcare experience
• A general understanding of geriatric health and mobility issues
• Strong verbal communication skills and good command of spoken and written English
• A full Irish (or Irish recognised) Driving Licence and access to a vehicle is essential

Hours of Work

39 hours per week. Must be available to work various shifts, including mornings, afternoons and evenings (including weekends and bank holidays).

Salary and Benefits

Salary: €32,691 per annum
