Job summary

Craddock House Nursing Home Naas, Co. Kildare, part of Virtue Integrated Elder Care Group, invites applications for a Full-Time Healthcare Assistant (HCA). Join our dedicated team delivering compassionate, person-centred care to support residents' independence.

You will work days and nights, follow care plans, assist with daily living, and participate in activities. We offer training, progression opportunities, and a welcoming environment.

Qualifications

• QQI Level 5 in Healthcare full award or equivalent, or a relevant Nursing/Allied Health/Healthcare qualification.
• Experience in elder care is desirable.
• Eligibility to work in Ireland and flexibility to work day and night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a high standard of holistic, person-centred care while promoting residents' dignity, privacy, choice and independence.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including personal care, dressing, mobility, dining and social activities.
• Provide additional support to residents with limited mobility.
• Follow individual care plans and report any changes in a resident's physical or mental wellbeing to the nursing team.
• Report any incident or potential concern that may compromise health, safety or wellbeing of residents, staff or visitors.
• Maintain a safe, respectful and welcoming environment.
• Communicate effectively and compassionately with residents, families and colleagues.
• Support and contribute to resident activities and events.

Craddock House Nursing Home, part of the Virtue Integrated Elder Care Group , is a purpose-built nursing home located in Naas, Co. Kildare.

Key Responsibilities

Essential Criteria

• QQI Level 5 in Healthcare full award or equivalent, or a relevant Nursing/Allied Health/Healthcare qualification.
• Previous experience in elder care is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• A compassionate, respectful and resident-focused approach.
• Eligibility to work in Ireland.
• Flexibility to work day and night shifts.
