Job summary

MyHomecare in Dublin is hiring for 1:1 homecare roles. You will provide personal care, daily living assistance and companionship within clients’ homes, following established care plans.

We are seeking applicants with QQI Level 5 and care-related coursework, plus strong English, driving licence, and Garda vetting readiness. This role is offered with full- and part-time schedules, and benefits including training and career progression.

Qualifications

• QQI Level 5 major award completed.
• Care Skills & Care of Older Person course in progress or completed.
• Full driving licence and access to a vehicle (where required).
• Good English communication skills and Garda vetting willingness.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 care within clients' homes following care plans.
• Assist with daily living activities and personal care.
• Offer companionship and promote dignity and independence.
• Maintain accurate records and report changes to supervisors.

Pay & Benefits

€14.15 per hour – Monday to Saturday
Up to €21 per hour – Sundays, nights, and bank holidays
(Rates are set based on shift type.)

Requirements

Fully Qualified:

• QQI Level 5 Major Award completed

• At least 1 work placement experience

Studying (Option 1):

• Studying Care Skills & Care of Older Person (to be completed within 11 months)

• Minimum 2 years relevant experience

Studying (Option 2):

• Enrolled in full QQI Level 5 Healthcare Support

• At least 1 work placement experience

Additional Requirements:

• Right to work in Ireland (no sponsorship provided)
• Good English communication skills
• Willingness to undergo Garda Vetting (covered by MyHomecare)
• Full driving licence and access to a vehicle required for some roles
• Ability to provide two reference contacts
