Job summary

MyHomecare is seeking compassionate care assistants to provide 1:1 in-home care across Carrick-on-Shannon and surrounding areas in Co. Leitrim. The role requires QQI Level 5 Major Award and at least one work placement; two references and a valid driving licence are preferred.

You will support daily living activities, offer companionship, and follow personalized care plans in clients’ homes. We offer weekly pay, flexible schedules, training, Garda vetting covered by MyHomecare, and a supportive

• At least 1 work placement experience.
• Studying Care Skills & Care of Older Person (to be completed within 11 months).
• Enrolled in QQI Level 5 Healthcare Support (Option 2).
• Minimum 2 years relevant experience.
• Right to work in Ireland (no sponsorship provided).
• Good English communication skills.
• Garda Vetting covered by MyHomecare.
• Full driving licence and access to a vehicle.
• Two reference contacts.

Pay & Benefits

€14.15 per hour – Monday to Saturday
Up to €21 per hour – Sundays, nights, and bank holidays
(Rates are set based on shift type.)

Requirements

Fully Qualified:

• Full driving licence and access to a vehicle required for some roles
