Job summary

Comfort Keepers in Ennis is seeking compassionate care carers to support adults at home. You will deliver personal care, assist with meals, light housekeeping, and help clients stay independent in their local community.

Travel between client visits in your area using your own vehicle is supported by mileage reimbursement. We offer full- or part-time roles, a structured induction, and free QQI Level 5 training to develop your skills.

Qualifications

• EU/EEA citizenship or unrestricted right to work in Ireland required.
• Driving licence not required but beneficial.
• QQI Level 5 in Healthcare Support desirable; support to complete it provided.

Responsibilities

• Deliver personal care including mobility, dressing and continence support.
• Assist with meal preparation and light housekeeping.
• Provide medication prompts and maintain accurate records.
• Travel between client visits within your local area.
• Observe wellbeing and escalate concerns to local office management.
• Build a professional relationship with client and family.
• Maintain confidentiality and privacy at all times.

What the Role Involves

• Delivering personal care including support with mobility, dressing, and continence care with dignity and respect at all times.
• Assisting with meal preparation and light housekeeping.
• Providing medication prompts and maintaining accurate, timely records.
• Travel between client visits within your local area.
• Observing client wellbeing and escalating any concerns promptly to the local office management.
• Building a professional, trusted relationship with your client and their family.
• Maintain the highest standards of confidentiality and privacy at all times, the trust of our clients and their families is central to everything we do.

Pay & Benefits

• Hourly rates up to €18.53. Premium rates for weekends, bank holidays, qualifications, and length of service, your pay grows with you.
• Travel between client visits in your local area using your own vehicle - mileage fully reimbursed.

What We Are Looking For

• EU/EEA citizenship or an unrestricted right to work in Ireland is required.
• A driving licence is not required for this role but is beneficial.
• QQI Level 5 in Healthcare Support is desirable, if you do not hold it, we will fully support you to complete it.
• A genuine motivation to support people in your community to live with independence and dignity.
