Job summary

Westcare Homecare Ltd is hiring care assistants to serve clients in Sligo and surrounding areas. Earn up to €21.50 per hour with paid mileage and flexible hours tailored to your lifestyle.

Join a team that prioritises 1-to-1 client support, meaningful care, and ongoing training. You’ll work close to home, making a real difference in daily living and independence for clients in their own homes.

Qualifications

• Caring and compassionate approach to client support.
• Strong communication and listening skills.
• Reliable and positive attitude in a homecare setting.
• Experience in care is advantageous but not required.

Responsibilities

• Help clients with daily tasks (washing, dressing, meals).
• Support mobility and independence for clients.
• Provide companionship and emotional support.
• Monitor wellbeing and report any concerns to supervisors.
• Help create a safe, comfortable home environment.

What you need

• Full Irish driving licence & access to a car
• QQI Level 5 or equivalent of QQI
• A caring, reliable, and positive attitude
• Experience in care is an advantage, but not essential
