Job summary

Oaklodge Nursing Home in Cloyne, Co. Cork, invites compassionate carers to join our team. We provide high-quality elderly care within a supportive environment, with flexible full-time, part-time and relief contracts.

You will assist residents with personal care, nutrition, mobility, and daily activities, while upholding dignity and safety. We offer continuous professional development and a pension scheme. QQI Level 5 in Healthcare Support preferred; training and career progression are supported

Responsibilities

• Maintain a warm and safe environment for residents.
• Support nursing staff in delivering holistic care.

• Assist with eating and drinking according to nutritional needs.
• Assist with mobility and use of aids.
• Plan and participate in daily activities aligned with residents' interests.
• Assist in End of Life Care.
• Perform other duties as required by nurse and management.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Maintaining a warm and safe environment for our residents at Oaklodge Nursing Home
• Supporting the nursing staff in providing high-quality holistic care to our residents.
• Ensuring residents hygiene/personal care needs are maintained to the highest standards while maintaining the resident's dignity at all time.
• Assisting residents with eating and drinking in line with their nutrition needs.
• Assisting residents with mobilising as appropriate and using correct aids.
• Completing daily activates with residents based on their interests and hobbies.
• Assisting in End of Life Care.
• Any other duties deemed necessary by nurse and management.
